Are Desert Eagles Legal in Ny

Is there even a .50AE desert eagle to buy and own legally in New York State? Room .50 AE is important. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to get my hands on one of the first “Deagles” lights with .357 Magnum. While it was fun to photograph and extremely controllable by the built-in muzzle brake, I still felt cheated. It was like shooting a .22 replica or an MG42 that was just a 10/22 with a skin kit. In California, the Desert Eagle is only available in 44 mag, it is illegal in 50AE and 357 mag. The ignition pin and block have also been changed and are unique for the CA 44 Magnum. The only evidence that makes it a Californian weapon is the paper sticker on the box and, on closer inspection, the retaining plate and modified barrel pen. Ironically, the Mark XXI can be easily upgraded to 357/50AE with the appropriate barrel, rotary bolt (357) and magazine. Who determines these rules asinine? Well, they`re California bureaucrats, enough to say. They just released a light version that should theoretically be legal in New York last but not least, Magnum Research has dropped to .45 ACP.

Basically, a wink for a company that makes cars in calibers that stop the bear. Another thing to consider is the quality of the optics you want to use. This weapon is a beast, so a cheap red Amazon dot is likely to be torn to shreds internally before you`ve finished your first seven-shot magazine. For my needs, I chose the Bushnell Advanced Reflex Sight from the company`s AR Optics range because it has been tested both shockproof and waterproof. This lens also comes with lockable winding and height screws, which I think is essential for any gun-mounted optics, especially if it`s a .50 AE bearing. After mounting the optics, I recovered training ammunition from Armscor, defensive projectiles from Hornady, and punitive charges from Buffalo Bore. It`s tricky because the guns can only be 50 ounces from the manufacturer, and I believe the Deagle surpasses that. Ball weight measured in grains and accuracy in inches for the best groups of five shots at 15 yards. At this point, I just hope they will make the light version in .50ae. Thank you for all the answers! Magnum Research is also preparing something very special for 2018. The Desert Eagle “TIG Series” chambered in .50 AE.

This limited edition hand gun is not your average Deagle and features a custom Battle Worn Bronze Cerakote finish. Only 250 are published. Beyond the Battlefield was founded in 2017 by John “TIG” Tiegen and his wife Margaret. Tiegen, a Navy veteran and former security contractor, is co-author of the book “13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened In Benghazi.” Around the same time, I started hunting white-tailed deer in the dense forests of New York City. Hunting with a pistol, of course, means not having to carry a rifle, but it`s also easier to maneuver in and out of tree stands and other shooting positions. Hunting from a blind on the ground, for example, is monumentally easier with a handgun without making much noise. In the sticking-it-to-the-man department, the L5 has an update. The L5 was my favorite last year, a lightweight, shortened Desert Eagle designed specifically for New York. When I got home, I took the dirty “Deagle” on my bench for dismantling and cleaning.

Removing the L5 starts as cleaning a Beretta 92F. After making sure that the gun is completely unloaded and secured, turn a barrel lock mounted on the frame. Once turned, the weapon more or less collapses (so be prepared). The cleaning process was easy as there were not too many hard-to-reach areas. The gas connection required a little more attention, but not a bunch of things. This is to be expected with any gasoline-powered firearm. Winding involved aligning the recoil spring and sled, and then dropping the barrel, which is the opposite of most other handguns. Now that my bag is completely packed, I have everything I need to brave the forest in December.

I hope I`ll go out with enough meat to fill my freezer with sausages and jerky for the year. For more information, see magnumresearch.com. New York, which placed third at the Communist dictatorship`s Olympics (beyond California and New Jersey), has maximum weight for handguns that can be sold to their subjects. This new reduced pistol from Magnum Research weighs only 48.6 ounces. This was done intentionally to circumvent the New York requirement and keep the .50 AE mass handgun available to civilians. The funny thing about New York is that while its gun laws are a complete disaster, its hunting laws are actually some of the most lax in the country. New York allows handgun hunting, even with half-cars – and even on Sundays! There is also no need to connect a magazine. However, it`s important to stay up to date, as New York simply likes to add new laws.

As I strengthened my grip, I was better able to handle the recoil as I continued my test. I appreciated the fact that the L5 has a real two-stage trigger, with the first stage requiring around 5 pounds of pressure and the second requiring an additional 3 pounds for a total pull weight of 8 pounds. In collaboration with Outlaw Ordnance, Magnum Research published a limited edition of 1911 pistols. These 1911s are engraved individually, with special surfaces and handles. At this point, only 50 are made, so take yours quickly. Next post: Concealed Carrie makes fashionable handbags, dead, women`s briefcases – SHOT Show 2018 Which brings me to the chambering. While the L5 is also available with 5-inch .44 Magnum and .357 Magnum barrels, which you can trade like other Desert Eagles, I got the .50 AE version for hunting. And it`s not for the grumpy. New Yorkers are tough people – look at what we go through just to own a gun. But make sure you`re up to the task of managing that hand cannon. At Magnum Research, we have a mix of new surfaces and new firearms this year.
